About US

Growing up in Vietnam, one of the top countries with high consumption of raw herbs and veggies, we love eating vegetables and adding a variety of herbs to every meal both to add flavor but also to add bulk and nutrients cheaply. We used to grow and harvest veggies without banned chemicals or pesticide residue at home in Vietnam. There is nothing quite like fresh herbs and vegetables from your own garden. Grow more. Eat better. Be healthier. Growing veggies is a labour of love, and it’s in our blood! Moving to Canada, along with the great passion, we, Tiny Microgreens, are committed to providing the freshest, organic microgreens, shoots and edible flowers to our customers.

What exactly are microgreens?

Microgreens, also known as micro herbs or vegetable confetti, are rich in flavor and add a welcome splash of color to a variety of dishes. Despite their small size, they pack a nutritional punch, often containing higher nutrient levels than more mature vegetable greens. This makes them a good addition to any diet. Microgreens are considered baby plants that are approximately 1–3 inches (2.5–7.5 cm) tall, falling somewhere between a sprout and baby green. Different from sprouts, which do not have leaves and have a much shorter growing cycle of 2–7 days, microgreens are usually harvested 7–15 days after germination, once the plant’s first true leaves have emerged.

NUTRITION FACTS

Besides the nutritional benefits, microgreens add unique flavors to foods and of course, we can't forget how visually appealing microgreens are as garnishes on prepared plates of food.

Like little sprouts and a type of vegetable, Microgreens can be up 40 times more potent in phytochemicals than their mature counterparts, according to a study in the Journal of Agricultural and Food Chemistry.

Try shots of Microgreens every day to boost your immunity!!

How

How to eat microgreens?

We like to eat them in place of salad greens in winter salads, on top of sandwiches, folded into wraps, sautéed into stir-fries and hash, or mixed into soups and casseroles. You can use them any place you’d use other mild-flavored greens like spinach

How to store them?

You can lay a piece of wet paper towel over the top of the microgreens. Normally, the microgreens can be kept in the fridge for a week or so. Do not put them in the freezer.

We don’t usually wash the greens before packaging either. Therefore, you can slightly wash them before putting them into the plate.

Microgreens are the perfect addition to every meal and snack!

Let us show you how we rock microgreens to the dishes.
